1. World Series of Poker (WSOP)    

This is possibly the world’s most prestigious Poker competition. It attracts players from around the globe. Its Main Event is a Hold ‘Em Poker game. The person who wins this Main Event is declared the tournament winner. 

Players of all skill levels can participate in the WSOP. 

It was born in the late 1940s with Benny Binson. He was an ardent Poker player who would host matches at the Horseshoe casino. The leading players of the time were Nick Dandolos and Johnny Mason. 

In 1970, Johnny Mason was awarded the title of the WSOP champion for winning a six-player game, wherein each player had paid an entry fee of $5000.

Event Schedule

This Poker competition will be conducted in the Horseshoe, Las Vegas, from the 27th of May to the 16th of July 2025. The Main Event will take place from the 2nd of July 2025 to the 16th of July 2025, and will be worth $10,000.

You can also play this tournament at the Paris, Las Vegas. Defending champion Jonathan Tamayo of the United States of America will be a primary attraction.

2. European Poker Tour (EPT)     

The European Poker Tour is one of the other Poker tournaments that is eagerly awaited by players worldwide. One of the primary reasons behind this is that it’s conducted in glamorous locations across Europe. 

For instance, it will be conducted in Monte Carlo and Barcelona this year. You can play this Poker competition between the 30th of April and the 10th of May 2025.

It will involve the following events in Monte Carlo: 

i) EPT Super High Roller

Will be held between the 3rd and the 5th of May 2025 and be worth €100,000

ii) EPT Main Event

Will be held between the 4th and the 10th of May 2025 and be worth  €5,300

iii) EPT Mystery Bounty

Will be held between the 6th and the 8th of May 2025 and be worth €3,000

iv) EPT High Roller

Will be held between the 8th and the 10th of May 2025 and be worth  €25,000

You’ll be able to play the EPT Main Event in Barcelona between the 24th and the 31st of August 2025 and be worth €5,300.

3. PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC)

The PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Poker competition is organized by Poker Stars or PSPC kicked off on the 28th of January and will last till the 3rd of February, 2025. Players from all over the world will be flying to the beautiful Bahamas Islands for the tournament. 

The competition in this tournament will be quite tough as over 400 Platinum Pass players will be defending their title and a buy-in of $25,000.

It will have the following events:

i) PSPC Warm Up

Will be held between the 28th and the 29th of January 2025 and be worth $10,000

ii) PSPC Main Event

Will be held between the 30th of January and the 3rd of February 2025 and be worth $25,000

iii) PSPC Mystery Bounty

Will be held between the 1st and the 3rd of February 2025 and be worth $550

4.   World Poker Tour (WPT)    

This Poker competition will be conducted across multiple locations this year, like Cambodia, Çatalköy, USA, Australia and Taiwan. Its Main Event in 2025 will be conducted in the cities of Cambodia, USA, and Çatalköy on the:

i) 16th March, 4th April, and 1st May in the USA at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and Choctaw Casino & Resort, respectively. These matches will be worth $3500 on the 16th of March and 4th of April and $3800 on the 1st of May.

ii) 19th February 2025 in Cambodia at the NagaWorld Integrated Resort, Phnom Penh. This match will be worth $3500.

iii) 13th August 2025 in Çatalköy at the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa. This match will be worth $3500.

You can also visit the Asia Poker Arena in Taiwan on the 14th of August 2025, which will be worth TWD35,000. Alternatively, you can also visit the Star Gold Coast in Australia on the 21st of March 2025, which will be worth AUD$2000.

5.   Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT)    

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour is one of Asia’s most renowned Poker tournaments and will be held in the Philippines, Manila, Taiwan, and South Korea this year. 

Furthermore, since this tournament will be based in Asia, we would urge Asian players to participate and make their country proud. 

The APPT in Manila will take place between the 30th of June to the 8th of May and between the 7th to the 16th of February. On the other hand, the APPT in South Korea will take place between the 1st and 10th of August and between the 26th of September to the 5th of October.
